Here at our old farm in Stora Råby, just outside Lund, you will find a wonderful environment and lots of creativity.
You can take ceramic courses or book your kick-off and team activity. The environment is perfect for smaller meetings when you are looking for a more personalised overall experience.
Wheel-throwing courses
We offer various wheel-throwing courses or you can join our day and evening groups for adults, all in a creative and welcoming environment where you will have time to explore the possibilities of clay.
Group activities
With us, you can try your hand at ceramic crafts such as coiling, rolling, throwing and sculpting, all according to your wishes. Together, we tailor creative activities that suit your group or kick-off event.
My name is Solange Korn Arvidsson and I have been running Ateljé Råbygård here in Stora Råby since 2009. It all started as a hobby, but when I found out in 2010 that AstraZeneca was closing its side in Lund, I decided to devote myself full-time to ceramics.
I mainly work with throwing, but I also use techniques such as coiling and rolling. My ceramics are simple in form, often combined with a cool glaze that I mix myself. I also experiment with different firing techniques, such as raku, which gives unique results.
In addition to creating ceramics, I teach courses. I have had many course participants over the years and love to see others develop. I am also constantly learning myself and have participated in courses by Lasse Östman, Candone Wharton, Danny Leonette and Bente Brosbøl Hansen.
For many years, we have offered a creative meeting place for various forms of arts and crafts. Ceramics has long been a central part of our activities, but today our members also work with silversmithing, painting, glasswork and crochet, among other things. Our premises also house Gammelhuset Tryckeri, which creates cards and other printed matter using traditional methods.
In addition to a studio space in an inspiring environment just outside Lund, there is the opportunity to sell your work at our markets a couple of times a year. We are also open to customers on the last Saturday of the month and host events for art clubs that make purchases for their art lotteries.
Contact me at info@ateljerabygard if you are interested in membership, and we can see if your needs suit our premises and our activities.
